TALIBAM! ENSEMBLE DE NEU WITH DODÓ KIS & RON STABINSKY

Take two self-appointed dadaist provocateurs with an innate love for the history of music, playing a drumset and a keytar - and you’ll get Talibam!; a performance duo from NYC, founded in 2003.

Together with their fellow American Ron Stabinsky who is the multi-talented keyboarder of the Cow Punk-legend Meat Puppets, keytarist Matt Mottel and drummer Kevin Shea share different genre-expanding music projects including Talibam! Hard Vibe (ESP-DISK), and Mostly Other People Do the Killing.

The three have performed with the Hungarian Amsterdam-based recorder virtuoso and EWI player Dodó Kis for the first time at moers festival 2018 in a larger group where a good rapport was instantly born. Dodó Kis belongs to Europe’s most exciting new voices in the fields of both early music, improvised music as well as music theatre and is actively working on emancipating the EWI (electric wind instrument) and recorders such as the Paetzoldian Großbassblockflöte outside their normal contexts. Since then she has performed with Talibam! at numerous occasions in The Netherlands and Germany and will return to the podium together with Ron Stabinsky on organ, synthesizer and piano for the first time as a quartet - on the 3rd August at radialsystem Berlin!

Matt Mottel (US) — keytar
Kevin Shea (US) — drums
Dodó Kis (NL/HU) — EWI, recorder
Ron Stabinsky (US) — organ, piano, synth
